Dr Edward Howell who passed on in 1988 at the age of 90 spent over 50 years studying food enzymes. His research suggested that at birth we have an enzyme potential. If allowed to become deficient, we are at risk of degenerative diseases. This enzyme potential must be preserved at all costs and not wasted by forcing the metabolic enzymes that carry out the chemical reactions in our bodies to be diverted into the task of digestion, because of poor foods choices that contain no digestive enzymes.
Digestive enzymes categorically include pancreatic enzymes, plant-derived enzymes, and fungal-derived enzymes. The MAXIMIZER enzyme supplement is the most potent formulation of digestive plant enzymes available. It contains 17 different types of digestive enzymes including Papain- papaya enzymes to aid in the pre-digestion of all the foods you eat.
Each capsule contains:
5 enzymes to digest proteins
2 enzymes to digest fibers
1 enzyme for fats and oils
2 enzymes to reduce starches
7 enzymes for sugars and dairy products
Protein Reducing Enzymes:
Exoprotease
-
cleaves off single amino acids from the ends of peptide chains.
Endoprotease
-
attacks peptide bonds on the interior of peptide chains.
Acid stable
proteases
- works in extreme acidic conditions in the digestive process after
other proteases have stopped working.
Bromelain
- a
broad spectrum enzyme that hydrolizes most soluble proteins.
Papain
- a
proteolytic enzyme characterized by its ability to hydrolyze large proteins
into smaller peptides and amino acids.
Actinidin
- a
protease from the kiwi fruit that shows significant activity on wheat products.
Fiber Reducing Enzymes:
Endocellulase
- breaks the beta 1-4 bonds randomly along a cellulose strand.
Glucanase
-
breaks down the cell walls of cereal grains.
Exocellulase
-
cleaves the glucose molecules from the ends of cellulose strands.
Hemicellulase
- breaks down the hemicellulose of plant walls.
Pectinase
-
breaks down the pectin in fruits.
Fat and Oil Reducing
Enzymes:
Lipase 8000
-
This is a blend of lipases that addresses all the different bonding points to
most thoroughly reduce fats and oils (contains 25 different types of Lipase).
Starch Reducing Enzymes:
Alpha Amylase
- Frees glucose molecules from the ends of polymers.
Beta Amylase
-
Also frees up glucose, but in a slightly different manner from the alpha
amylases.
Amyloglucosidase
- Enables the alpha and beta amylases to work most effectively.
Sugar and Dairy Enzymes:
Lactase
-
Breaks down the lactose in dairy products into more soluble sugars.
Invertase
-
Breaks down cane or beet sugars.
Maltase
-
Breaks down maltose.
Xylanase
-
Breaks down the xylan sugars found in most plants. Works particularly well with
grains such as corn.
Alpha
Galactosidase
- Breaks melibose, Raffinose, and Stachyose sugars that are
responsible for excess gas in the digestive system.
Mannanase
-
Breaks down the mannan sugars.
WARNING:
If a
stomach or colon condition such as ulcers, gastritis, severe burning
sensations, irritable bowel syndrome, or intestinal lining damage
exists, take soothing Gamma-Zyme instead of Maximizer.
Suggested dosage:
Take two to four capsules with meals, depending on the size of the meal.
Do not take if ulcer or gastritis are present. Use Gamma-Zyme as an alternative. Gamma-Zyme is formulated for people with gastric problems.
